Our Story
Sailing Compass Academy was created to bridge the gap between learning sailing and feeling truly prepared onboard.
We saw that many sailors complete courses and understand the fundamentals, yet still arrive at the marina unfamiliar with the boat, its systems, and the real onboard environment.
So we built a different way to learn: an interactive 3D experience based on a real sailing yacht, combining structured education with practical, real-world seamanship.
The goal is simple: understand the boat before you step onboard — and arrive better prepared for what happens at sea.

Lefteris created the concept and educational approach behind Sailing Compass Academy, combining more than 20 years at sea with engineering, academic research, university teaching, and sailing instruction. He leads the Academy’s educational content and development, connecting structured learning with practical seamanship and real onboard experience.
