Lefteris Amoiralis

Lefteris founded Sailing Compass by bringing together more than two decades of sailing experience with a background in engineering, education and professional sailing instruction.
An engineer with a PhD in Energy and extensive university teaching experience, he has spent many years training sailors and developing a practical, safety-driven approach to sailing education. His vision led to the development of Sailing Compass as a complete sailing ecosystem, connecting digital learning through the Academy, practical training through the Sailing School and real experiences at sea..

Takis Vamialis
Senior Sailing Instructor • Engineer • 35+ Years of Sailing Experience
Takis brings more than three decades of sailing experience and many years of professional instruction to Sailing Compass.
For more than 15 years, Takis and Lefteris have worked closely together developing sailing courses and training hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to become confident skippers. An engineer and experienced offshore sailor, Takis combines technical knowledge with practical seamanship and a direct, hands-on approach to teaching.

Julija Vasiljevska
Engineer • PhD in Energy • Certified Offshore Sailor • Educational Content
Julija combines an engineering background and a PhD in Energy with more than ten years of sailing experience on monohulls as a certified offshore sailor.
Her analytical background and experience in structured project assessment bring an important perspective to Sailing Compass educational content. She helps ensure that complex sailing concepts are presented accurately, clearly and in a way that remains practical and accessible to sailors at different levels of experience.

Engineer • 3D Scanning & Immersive Technology Specialist
Panos brings specialist expertise in high-precision 3D scanning, virtual tours and immersive technology.
His work has been central to creating the interactive 3D environments used by the Sailing Compass Academy, transforming real yachts into detailed digital learning spaces. Combining engineering precision with immersive technology, he helps bridge the gap between online learning and the physical sailing environment.

Software Engineer • Digital Platform & Systems Integration
Stavros supports the digital infrastructure behind Sailing Compass, connecting its website, learning environment and online systems into a simple and intuitive user experience.
With a strong software engineering background and a collaborative approach, he has played an important role in developing the technical foundations that allow Sailing Compass to bring together its digital learning, student services and online platforms.

Danai brings together sailing experience, photography and visual storytelling to capture the people, yachts and experiences behind Sailing Compass.
Through photography and creative content, she helps translate life at sea into authentic visual stories — from sailing education and life on board to the experiences and moments that define the Sailing Compass community.
